Ann Das was born on July 4, 1966 in Hasselt, Belgium. In 1988 she graduated in Ghent as an Industrial Engineer in Biochemistry, after which she moved to the Netherlands and worked for a pharmaceutical company for a year.

 

In 1990 she decided to move to Italy and resumed her studies at the Istituto Europeo di Design in Cagliari and Rome, where she completed this 4-year study with honors, specializing in interior architecture and design. In September 2008, ANN DAS Architettura d'Interni was founded and the Italian experience and background were translated into a Dutch and Belgian environment.

 

Between 2011 and 2013 she worked at a high-end bathroom specialist store, after which she worked for a leading interior designer in the Gooi in 2014. In May 2015 she completed a HBO lighting design specialization. Many private projects and lighting designs follow. The office is moving from Baarn to a new-build home in the outskirts of Amersfoort.

This house in 'Bos Uyterlinde' has been publicized several times, both on TV (binnenstebuiten episode April 13, 2018, and in the newspaper (De saturday edition of the Telegraaf of December 14, 2019) In Amersfoort, the projects include renovations of 1930s buildings in the Bergkwartier, in addition to some high-end new-build apartments (Emerald, Amerberg).

 

From January 2024 she left the Netherlands and Belgium and settled in Italy. From Porto Santo Stefano she is rebuilding her business with an emphasis on the second home market.
